Come May 3, 2009 history is going to be made in Abuja with the Salsa Abuja Club going all out to host, articapte and invite all dance lovers to the first ever OPENAIR SALSA DANCE-ALL.

It will hold at the Atriu of the Ceddi Plaza, Central Business District Area, Abuja an d be on from 4pm tll fade.. Featuring the best of an ntro class for beginners, line dance, social dancing and so much more......

We implore all that hear about it to invite one or two more friends and come join us because we are sure it will be great fun, excitement and a dancing expereience not to be missed.

SALSA ABUJA 2009

Okay guys, there's just been a lot that has happened over the past few months. Some of us were party to this and some not. This includes Dare's visit to the U.S., attending the New York International Salsa Congress - Aug 2008., hosting a Salsa Workshop at Radiance Studios, Bowling Green, OH, U.S.A. and attending Tiempo Libre (Two-Time Grammy Nominated Miami based Cuban Band) :and the Toledo Symphony in Concert- Sept 2008.

Other events were the 2008 West African Nite of Salseros in Ghana, Abuja Salsa Santa Fiesta and the Blue & White Salsa to mark the new year.

West African Nite of Salseros

Salsa goes Whao! as Nigerians storm Ghana for the West African Nite of Salseros. Held Sat, 15th Dec 2007, at the GoodFellas Bar in Accra. Featuring various performances and social dancing, the nite was crowned with the Presence of Tatiana; Big Brother Africa 2 Housemate all the way from Angola. AbujaClubSalsa wasn't left out as Dare was there live flagging the Abuja Salsa Community. The code was 'dance till you drop'. Who knows, this might just be the birth of a real African Salsa Congress. Viva La Salsa, Viva Ghana, Viva Nigeria, Viva Africa.

The Closer, The Better.

AbujaClubSalsa was made proud in the recently concluded Close-Up National Fresh Salsa Challenge. (http://www.closeupfreshchallenge.com/). Dare and Bella having come out tops in the Abuja regional challenge, emerged first-runner up in the National Finals having been won by Lagos to whom we can say had location advantage. We are indeed second to None!

It was indeed a great time of experience, fun and relaxation the past week with Compañía de Danza Fernando Hurtado from Andalusia, Spain. Right from the Comtemporary dance workshop to the main show at the congress hall, Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja, everyone had a swell time. Much appreciative are our friends who came all the way from Lagos to join us. AbujaClubSalsa is quite grateful to Compañía Fernando Hurtado, The Spanish Embassy and of course Eva Barta who was the link. Viva La Compañía Fernando Hurtado, Viva La Espana, Viva La Nigeria.
